Abstract
The play Somnus: Going the Dream Trail in one night, is a musical-theatrical performance lasting about twenty minutes. The main character is the God of Sleep or Somnus (Latin). According to Homer, the God of Sleep is a young man with wings on his shoulders and his role is to put the tired ones to sleep as he sprinkles them with an olive branch soaked by the river of oblivion next to his house. His residence is in Lemnos and his wife is Pasithei - one of the Graces - Goddess of rest and relaxation. Tonight he chooses his next victim who in this case is a young girl. He visits her during sleep, giving her five dreams: Darkness, Illusion, Love, the Gardens of Eden and Loss.
