Abstract
The present thesis focuses on the training and familiarization of the user with weka and rapidminer software. In their use, they specialize in data mining and machine learning. Τhe main objective of using them is to process data sets in order to carry out valuable information. In particular, it is presented through many different examples of data sets, how we can manage them either with the one software or the other. The results of the experiments can give the user important information for future predictions. In more detail, through this thesis one can learn all the basic and additional functions of both weka and rapidminer, starting with the simplest training courses and going to the more specialized. Beyond the practical parts of this thesis, which are described through the presentation of court pictures, there is also the corresponding theory that one needs to know in order to understand exactly how the algorithms that have been implemented work. The thesis is completed after a comparative evaluation of the two software, where the points of the rapidminer software over the weka are shown, thanks to its ease of use, the possibilities it offers but also the time one can save by choosing it for either personal or professional use.
