Abstract
Studying the multisensory approach and, in particular, its integration in the audio description of the animation film “My Life as a Zucchini”.
Through the audio description of the above animation film as a technique of the Audiovisual Translation, I have attempted to investigate the benefits that can occur by the engagement of more senses. Thus, the inclusion of a multisensory approach in the audio description is being considered, as an additional technique aiming to improve and promote accessibility to audiovisual material in the benefit of the blind and visually impaired.
An audio description of the animation film has been performed, as well as a written tactile tour in the replica of the puppet used during the filming, as an application and practice of the theory related to the multisensory approach.
