Abstract
The present rechearch studies the evolution of rebetiko and folk song in the Trikala city, in Greece and attempts to complete the museological proposal of the "House of the Artists of Trikala" in Trikala.
The first part of the rechearch presents the theoretical framework for the development of the science of museology from its beginning to the present day. It also presents all processes and dimensions of museums today.
The second and third part analyzes the necessary historical context of the evolution of musical movement in relation to the culture, as well as the arrival and the integration of the rebetiko song in Greece.
In the fourth part of the study, the museological analysis -of the space under construction- is being developed and a comprehensive framework of proposals for the "House of the Artists of Trikala" is presented, incorporating the entire historical context of the area, the policies of building and preserving the museum collections, the new technologies and the museum objects and analyzes their development in space.
Finally, the conclusions reached in the research, as well as some thoughts for further study in the future.
