Abstract
The present capstone project attempts to record the level of acceptance and usability of a pilot Internet Platform for the promotion of musical cultural content for the needs of visitors to Corfu. Chapter 1 presents the role of ICT in the management of Cultural Heritage and also in this part the definition of the research problem is made. This is followed in Chapter 2 by a review of various cultural content pages which include musical items and a description of the type of information and the functions they offer is given. Then, Chapter 3 presents the methodological approach that will be followed for the research. This includes Wilson's information behaviour theory adapted to musical information and the UTAUT theory of technology acceptance and use. Chapter 4 presents the application of the methodology and its evaluation. In particular, firstly, the positions of a sample population are recorded through the construction and administration of a questionnaire. This is followed by a statistical analysis of the results of the responses (meeting needs, barriers to access, UTAUT concepts) with the presentation of diagrams and commentary. This is followed by the statistical analysis of the data using the SEM method through the SmartPLS program and the extraction of the variables in tables which explain the correlations between the variables of the research model. Finally, Chapter 5 presents the conclusions on which factors are most important for user satisfaction and behavioural intention to use the platform, an assessment of the limitations and usefulness of the research and finally, specific recommendations for improving the performance and usability of the platform are given.
