Abstract
This work aims to study the Internet of Things technology, the solutions it can offer end users, and the potential risks involved in it. More specifically, the first chapter introduces in Sensor Networks as well as RFID chips and Cloud Computing. Then , the second chapter highlights security and privacy issues with regard to IoT. There are analyzed the major vulnerabilities, threats and security solutions related to user protection. The third chapter attempts to approach the whole range of current Internet of Things applications. Then, in the fourth chapter there is presented an application of ambient temperature transmission to the PC with the Arduino Uno. Temperatures from Cloud can be applied to several IoT applications. In the fifth chapter, reference is made to basic principles of nanotechnology and the Internet of Bio-Nano Things. The latter may contribute to the field of medicine and the treatment and study of several diseases. Finally, research is being done in the sixth chapter to clarify users' perceptions of IoT, security and privacy, as well as the solutions it can offer to the health sector.
