Abstract
This dissertation is about the subtitling of the short documentary film “Breathe” by director Zac Norrington starring Julie Ridge, the first person to swim two consecutive laps around Manhattan Island, New York and subsequently diagnosed with bipolar disorder. As mentioned above, this is a short documentary film with a total duration of approximately 16 minutes, with English as the source language and Greek as the target language. The choice of this particular film was made due to my personal interest in mental health issues and how these are presented through audiovisual media.
