Abstract
The cited assignment constitutes a personal investigation into the nature of translation and for this reason it has a complex character. As it concerns the extent of the project, four texts for translation are cited (a technical, a legal, a literary excerpt and an excerpt of an extensive poem), accompanied by a separate commentary of every text, as well as a comparison of differentiating elements of each type, a small research about whether translation is science, art or both, and also my personal syllogisms on the translation’s character. Practically, we could separate it in two parts, the part of translation and the commentary, where I present my skills, and the part of investigation and the research conclusion, where I present my developing view about the nature and the purpose of translation.
