Abstract
This essay deals with the mapping and reporting of the publishing houses which have been set up in Greece since 2008. In the first part, the particular characteristics of the publishing houses are presented as well as the development reported in this sector over the years, such as the contribution of the technology in publishing or the results of the recent financial crisis. Then, their basic characteristics and facts are detected while the history of the publishing houses in Greece with their special features is analyzed. In the second part, questionnaires have been completed by some newly set- up printing houses and their results associated with their modus operandi as well as their organization and structure are recorded. The conclusion of the essay contains the results which have been assumed.
