Abstract
In the context of this work, a grain storage management system is proposed. This system will record
data from temperature, humidity, gas, and level sensors and monitor the data that will be generated
to help update the status of the grains and prevent possible damage. The purpose of this thesis is to
explore the possibilities, challenges, and various stages for the development of this specific
intelligent system. Internet of Things (IoT) systems were used to collect data from the sensors. The
creation of such a system addresses critical issues of modern reality, such as food waste and the food
crisis that we are called to face. This has led to the development of silo monitoring systems that
prevent damage, alert the user, and inform them about the quantity of material contained in them.
The structure of this thesis consists of three parts. In the first part, which constitutes the theoretical
overview, some basic research concepts are analyzed, and the theoretical approaches to the
construction of the system are presented. The second part concerns the practical stage of the above
process. Specifically, all the individual development stages, tools, and technologies used, as well as
the problems and their solutions, are presented. Finally, in the third part, a summary is made, the
results of the work are presented, and conclusions are drawn.
