Abstract
In this thesis, a study of existing TDMA topology-transparent policies is presented. Then new policies for IoT environments are proposed that extend the existing ones with the aim of improving their performance. Evaluation of existing and proposed policies is conducted through simulations. It is shown that the proposed policies improve on the existing ones in various aspects. Finally, an implementation of one such policy in a network consisting of low-cost devices is presented, demonstrating the potential of using topology-transparent policies in similar environments.
