Abstract
Examining the role and importance of museums in modern society based on the latest methods of approach, emphasizing to science museums, aims to create a global approach to the above. This suggestion aims to create a museum at the General Hospital of Corfu. The analysis of basic concepts that preoccupied by modern museums is the main part of this thesis. Through analyzing general concepts there is a conclusion to the basic information that will form the basic foundations for museum at the General Hospital of Corfu, in order to coming into being.End up in the 3rd chapter, where through comparison between similar museums, a clearer picture of what this modern museum should be is created. The financial management and recruitment of the museum, the importance that should be given to museum educational programs and their immediate impact in order that the museum is up to date, lastly the role of social networks and the importance that should be given to this field regarding to a modern approach, are the main issues. In conclusion, it is necessary to study various contexts (where the necessary analysis is done in this thesis) in order to lay the right foundations and have a success rate for the museum.
