Abstract
The museums of 21st century have been established as places of non – formal education with compelling aim to preserve the culture’s democratization, human dignity, global equality and the planet’s prosperity. As a result, museums adopt institutional and functional changes by redefining their role in society. Museum institutions seek to establish a sustainable and peaceful global future. Museums, through educational programs, focus on creating attractive and unique experiences for visitors, outside the formal educational systems (e.g. schools), which invite equally all. When educational programs are implemented through new technologies, then the level of visitors’s learning experience is significant improved because learning style is compined with entertainment. Digital games are an extremely popular educational system in museums and attract an unprecedented number of visitors in daily basis. Digital games engage people and create meaningful interpersonal museums experiences with them. Also, digital games excite the curiosity of visitors’s mind. At the same time, digital game based – learning offers the immediately access to museum’s information, even when people are in different cities, countries or continents from those museums that they have been visited in digital way. However, the issue that needs special attention from gamers of museums’ educational digital games is the reasonable use. Under no circumstances should users engage themselves to interact with digital games uncontrollably, losing their sense of time and place. Otherwise, individuals develop serious problems in their mental, spiritual and phusical health.
