Abstract
The subject of this thesis is: "The numismatic museums of Greece and their websites: description, commentary, perspective" and is analyzed as follows:
Initially, the introduction presents the preamble of diplomacy, its purpose, its research questions, its methodology and its structure.
Chapter 1, Numismatics, covers general information, the history of money, the history of numismatics, modern numismatics, coin collecting (motivations, types of collectors, coin collecting themes), coin grading (grading systems) and services certification.
Chapter 2, "Museum Website Features and Technologies", analyzes key concepts, user interactions with museum websites, categories of users in cultural heritage, features of Museum Websites (presentation of creative content by users, promotion of collections and exhibits with CTAs, attraction audience, getting referrals from local partners, presenting the experience to increase ticket sales), the features / distinction of a good museum website (promotions of exhibitions and collections with direct CTAs, user-generated content, Content that reflects the target audience, Presentation of the museum experience, Mobile visitability, Combining creativity and common sense), technological innovations in Museums, projection mapping in large and small spaces, the effect of Binaural technology on the sound level , preservation and reproduction of sensitive objects through "Digital twins", contactless payments, the effect of holographic screens on graphics, guided tours, VR as a gateway to virtual museums, visitor flow technology makes visiting easier).
In chapter 3, "Numism Museum Websites Around the World", the websites of the Royal Mint of Great Britain, the American Numismatic Society MANTIS / Numismatic Technology Integration Service and the Australian Center for Ancient Numismatic Studies are presented
In the 4th chapter, "Websites of Numismatic Museums of Greece", the websites of the Numismatic Museum of Athens, the Museum of Banknotes of the Ionian Bank and the Museum of Gramophones and Coins are presented.
The 5th and last chapter presents the general conclusions of the thesis
