Abstract
This dissertation concerns the translation and commentary of three speeches of the German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in the German Parliament. All speeches are related to the war between Russia and Ukraine. The first one took place the first on January 27, 2022, the second on February 27, 2022 and the third on March 16, 2022. These speeches concern an issue that is timeless, the war. In particular, the speeches concern the war between Russia and Ukraine, which caused, and continues to cause, significant consequences both in Europe and throughout the world. Tis is the work of Angeliki Boulala, undergraduate student of the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting, in the academic year 2021-2022. The Supervisory Committee was composed of Professor Georgios Kentrotis as the first supervisor and the Academic Scholar Dr. Stavroula Paraskevi Vraila as second supervisor.
The first part of the paper presents the translations of the original texts. The second part lists the original texts, while the third part consists of the commentary.
