Abstract
Since 2018, when the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was implemented, all entities and websites that manage and process personal data, have been required to comply with it. The statement by the entities to the personal data subjects on their compliance with the requirements of the regulation is the privacy policy, a text which must be accessible to all and must report how personal data is processed. One common problem is that users dispose of their personal data without reading the privacy policies which are long and complex. The aim of the essay is to assess the compliance to GDPR of a category of websites that provide file conversion services. The evaluation was carried out by studying the privacy policies of the websites. 15 websites and 17 criteria were selected to carry out the evaluation. To rate the policies, a three-point scale was chosen, 0 for zero compliance, 1 for partial compliance and 2 for full compliance. A scoring table was created which illustrates the performance in privacy policy compliance of each site for each of the criteria. From the table, charts were created to visualize the results and drawn the conclusions.
