Abstract
The term Orthodox Church Hymnology refers to all the texts that contain the Holy Mysteries and Masses, whether recited melodically by byzantic music or by reading, for reasons of order and propriety, they are set to an established structure, the so-called Standard, for the purpose of glorifying the Triune God. This thesis is a project to record the Hymnology of the Orthodox Church in a metadata system. By creating a document type in the form of a predefined Document Type Definition (DTD) template, it is intended to better organize and record the texts, but also to check the validity of the elements and properties that will be specified when they are used in an XML document. There, the hierarchical structure, internal organization and fielding of the entire data collection will be defined. In order to apply the template, the Order of Saint Spyridon of Trimythous the Wonderworker, of December 12th, consisting of the Vespers, the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy, has been selected.
