Abstract
The term Artificial Intelligence refers to the field of Computer Science that deals with the design and implementation of computer systems that present characteristics that we associate with human behavioural intelligence. It uses tools and ideas from areas such as computer science, psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, linguistics and others, with the aim of linking intelligent behaviour with elements of reasoning, learning, etc. AI in education refers to the design of intelligent educational systems that not only provide knowledge about the scientific field in question, but are also able to respond substantially to student behaviour by providing adaptive and personalised support. However, the adoption of such systems raises ethical questions about their responsible use. Teachers need to be able to manage digital resources both for teaching and learning and for assessing and empowering students. A need therefore arises for professional continuous professional development with the ultimate aim of developing both student learners and teachers themselves. This research involves the research of teachers' readiness in terms of responsible use of AI in Teaching and Learning with the PRAITL tool. This application was developed within this study with the aim of establishing it as a tool to continuously investigate the readiness of each teacher. It is important to determine the level of teacher readiness today when technology is rapidly evolving and the development of AI systems is in full bloom. Through this study, this research attempts to investigate both the general level of readiness based on the demographic data of the participants and the level of preparedness in the individual research objectives.
