Abstract
This BA dissertation examines the subtitling of a video related to personal development on the online platform Youtube. The subtitling of such videos plays an important role, as it serves as an accessible means of communication in the modern era, as it allows access to audiovisual content to a broader audience, including people who do not speak the language of the original source and people with hearing impairments.
Throughout the subtitling process, various translation and technical challenges arose. The purpose of this dissertation is to analyse the subtitling methodology and techniques required for the best possible production of subtitles.
