Abstract
This thesis is on the translation of extracts from the novel Heartless by Marissa Meyer
and is accompanied by an extensive commentary that refers to the skopos theory,
the textual analysis and analyzes the translation problems that occurred, as well as the
methods of overcoming them. The choice of this topic does not only reflect my personal
interest in the translation of literature, but also aims to highlight the skills I have
acquired through my academic studies in the Department of Foreign Languages,
Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University.
