Abstract
This work is the sealing of my translation studies in the Foreign Language Translation and Interpretation of the Ionian University, an integrated project to highlight the translation qualities and knowledge acquired throughout my undergraduate course. I sought to deal with a sector with particular interest but also with challenges in its path and this because it is characterised by an impressive tradition. The reason is for the literary translation sector, which must remain faithful to the original text while presenting a living and equivalent to the original translation. It is therefore a kind of challenge that demands the responsibility of the translator and its general knowledge of the subject, both in language and cultural and historical terms. The original text is a novel. So the structure of the work includes the first part with a short summary of the novel, its characteristics (style, language, techniques). Then, in the second part, the original text and its translation are listed, as well as in the third part, the analysis of the translation order, comments and translation difficulties (according to the Department's thesis preparation regulations) that arose during the translation process but and the way they were treated.
