Abstract
The present thesis aims to search for information on Italian online portals about the Greek Revolution in relation to its influence on Italian philhellenes and to identify their own positions towards Greece. It is a case study of Italian newspapers only because the aim is not to compare with other countries. It explores the influence and impact of the Greek Revolution on the later revolts and revolutions that occurred in Italy, the trajectory of the sources as well as their impact in Italy and the imprint of the revolution in the press. An important part is taken up by articles related to Crete-Candia and the rest of Greece. Finally, particular attention is given to how the case of the Revolution can be used didactically and pedagogically in schools and in the history course in general through the use of new technologies.
