Abstract
The development of various sciences is attributed to the degree of investigation into topics that concern different researchers. Through the process of hypotheses, holistic approaches, or experiments, each science has its own methods of scientific inquiry. The scientific field of biology has developed, with the aid of computational science, a branch that provides excellent tools for approaching, observing, and visualizing information. How this information, derived from various studies, is managed presents an additional issue. Under this effort to find efficient and reliable methods, computational science plays the most significant role. Specifically, as far as neuroscience is concerned—extensively studied in this work, with a focus on cognitive neuroscience—the imaging and modeling systems offered seem to be the only path forward. The first section outlines the role of computational biology through its various branches, providing some examples. The second section addresses the field of cognitive science, which observes cognitive processes, as well as cognitive neuroscience, which attempts to study various cognitive functions by linking them to the brain and the nervous system, which are the primary means responsible for these processes. Subsequently, section 3 delves into the vast field of neuroscience, exploring the various methods and practices it employs through computational science. Finally, in section 4, several studies are presented that demonstrate the essential contribution of computational biology to cognitive neuroscience, along with the issues encountered, which need to be addressed from this perspective in order to achieve the much-desired discoveries and evidence.
