Abstract
The research paper investigates, on both theoretical and technical levels, a more contemporary understanding of experimental-improvisational creation with noise as the primary tool. The aim is to comprehend and liberate the aesthetic of noise, combining techniques and compositional ideas, the means of producing and processing sound material, and the creation, production, and destruction of audible systems.
The study will focus on noise as an autonomous condition in nature and sciences, as a sensation, language, means of expression, perception, and creation. Through a historical review of theorists, musicians, and sound researchers over the years, independent practices and sound shaping techniques will be examined in the context of their production as well as in comparison with various methods, perceptions, and experiments in parallel with technological achievements and in conjunction with environments and factors shaping the acoustic experience in its entirety.
Emphasis will be placed on sound processing practices involving feedback, continuous repetition, decomposition, decay, and reframing, aiming at noisification and detachment of sounds from their meaning. The transfer of sounds from the conscious to the subconscious, from the familiar to the foreign, whether it is unexplored, unknown, or has been appropriated, covered, disappeared, forgotten, from the new reality.
Influenced by memory and oblivion, the continuous and parallel interactions in nature, the inevitable decay and passage of time, acquisition and the unknown, continuous and regressive listening, I aim to create a piece that repeats but is never the same, evolves microstructurally or macrostructurally, linearly to convey the logical continuity of the trace of memory and oblivion, from the individual to the universe (unit - system), from order to chaos, synchronization to crystallization, until it decomposes and loses its trace in the whole, self-destructs, weakens by external factors, and fades or unifies.
