Abstract
This following study aims to investigate and evaluate the implementation of an educational intervention for kindergarten teachers with the aim of teaching the musical fairy tale “Kratisou Pano mou” and its accompanying musical activities.
At the first stage, the theoretical background of the present study is presented to clarify the important points and issues for better understanding. After developing the value of the fairy tale and the music in the kindergarten as a teaching tool, the educational apply of the musical fairy tale is presented in four kindergarten classes. The musical fairy tale and appropriately structured musical activities were taught to four kindergarten teachers by the researcher-music teacher. Then the musical fairy tale was taught by the kindergarten teachers themselves in their classrooms. The results of this education implementation showed the positive results of the teaching proposals and the recognition of the undeniable value of music, and in particular the musical fairy tale, in the holistic development of the child, as well as to the positive attitude of the kindergarten teachers in order to strengthen the future effort to integrate the musical fairy tale within the teaching program, on a stable permanent basis.
