Abstract
This paper deals with the attitude of parents towards online learning. The main purpose of the project is to record the views and suggestions of parents, who have children in the educational level of elementary school and high school, as far as online learning is concerned.
As part of the research, twelve (12) interviews were conducted in the form of questionnaires and were also followed by two (2) group discussions via video call, with the participating parents. Using the methodological tools, an attempt was made to determine whether children benefit from the new way of online learning, which entered their daily lives due to the global epidemic of Covid-19, if children learn through online teaching which they have been using all this time and whether parents feel that this way of education could be incorporated as a new method of teaching in schools.
The main finding of this research is the universal opinion of parents that their children do not benefit from the online learning and that a combination of both online and live lessons would be more beneficial. Unanimously, the parents observed that there is lack of knowledge in handling the mechanical equipment and the teaching programs by the teachers to a large extent. In addition, they agreed that the children, during the online lesson, do not pay attention to the teacher instead in many instances they play games on their computer or mobile phone or exchange messages with their friends.
