Abstract
The current assignment investigates the digitisation of the shadow puppetry, our Greek Karagiozis, which combines the two dimensions reality “television” environment with moving and static image and presenting it to an audience in real time. Therefore, there is an attempt to go through the historical evolution of the genre, of the characters, the content and to familiarise oneself with this kind of a theatre. Following up by analysing the exceptional techniques of the genre and the main body of the performance. The analysis levels up to the characters that remain almost untouched through the years, until nowadays. Additionally, there are references regarding the social analysis of Karagiozis. The research project is about the production, the execution, the recording of a Karagiozis's live show and its screening.
