Abstract
The thesis explores the potential of the electric guitar to function simultaneously as a sound-producing instrument and as a control instrument for variables and parameters in combination with a computer for the production of electroacoustic music. It focuses on the creation of an interactive system consisting of software constructs through visual programming, which achieves the real-time expansion of the electric guitar's timbres and presents a live performance that demonstrates the creative possibilities of the system. This interactive system is developed based on numerous and varied experiments and the use of digital processing techniques such as granular synthesis, creation, management, and processing of multichannel sounds, the ability to convert the guitar sound into MIDI information and the ability to use multiple effects with spatial arrangement options in real-time. The incorporation of randomness into parameters of the constructs enhances the performer's expressiveness and creativity, while the system's portability offers practicality and ease of use. The results demonstrate that creating electroacoustic music with an electric guitar through digital processing on a computer offers advantages and new possibilities for expressiveness and ideas that emerge in improvisation.
