Abstract
This thesis deals with the content of a six-month internship in two music ensembles of a
music school in northern Greece. Specifically, my six-month internship consists of four
meetings where the rehearsal of the musical ensembles and the teaching approaches of the
teacher's of the music ensembles are observed, the general reactions of the students, in groups
and individually, to teacher's teaching as well as the content of the lesson, the reflection on
the teacher's approaches and experience and possible suggestions for improving teaching.
Then, activities and teaching plans are carried out in the classroom by the intern, the
evaluation and reflection of which is later recorded in the form of diaries. Finally, the
reflection of the students’ experience, the conclusions and any suggestions for the future are
recorded. In this six - month internship, the content of the teaching plans has to do with the
approach to teaching music through traditional music (mainly regarding the first music
ensemble) and activities based on acoustic ecology (mainly regarding the second music
ensemble).
