Abstract
The current thesis focuses on the political article written by José Ramon Corrochano Ponte, which analyzes Spain’s foreign policy and relations, and in cases conflicts in said relations, with other countries. The article is placed chronologically in 2021, when it was published, thus the political events and policies described are based on data of that time period. Precisely, the changes brought to the government by the elected in 2018 Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, are described, along with the foreign policy making and its variations depending on the country and the pre - existing conditions and relations in between them and Spain. Regarding the technical part, the choices made throughout the translating process are examined, based on the technical requirements of the text, the linguistic and lingual differences, the rendition of specific terms such as political offices or organizations that do not have an exact correspondence in the Greek language or reality or have not been attributed to it in the past, the grammatical and syntactic structure of the two languages used (Spanish and Greek) and the political, and therefore, social background of the two languages and countries.
