Abstract
This thesis focuses on the development of an excursion and cultural getaway application, which aims to create a community welcoming to nature and adventure lovers. The application was developed as part of the thesis with the aim of promoting engagement in outdoor activities and raising awareness of the natural environment.
Through the app, users can discover different hiking routes, organise their own excursions, read informative articles, discover groups, meet new people with common interests and share experiences and photos of their adventures.
The development of the app involved the design and implementation of a complete system, including user registration functions, management of tours and articles, weather viewing, management of favourite items and the ability to join tours.
During development, extensive research was conducted on user needs and the latest trends in tourism and outdoor activities.
Finally, the application was implemented using modern technologies and software development platforms, such as Flutter to create a cross-platform mobile application and Firebase to manage data and perform authentications.
