Abstract
Schools are characterized more and more by the multicultural element while at the same time children’s equivalent inclusion, of different nationalities, is promoted. Fairy tale and music are educational tools that obviously can be used to reinforce the acceptance of ¨the other¨ and diversity. A musical fairy tale that is being narrated and sung by the children can offer them the ability to travel to distant countries, to people and creatures so different among them, but at the same time they coexist harmoniously. The purpose of this study, is to observe if an intercultural fairy tale enriched with multicultural songs, as a educational tool, can teach and sensitize to diversity, the acceptance of ¨ the other¨ and develop empathy to students of the 6th Grade. The learning and then the recording of five lullabies and the fairy tale were carried out in the context of five courses, the students collaborated and the result of this thesis in educational practice captured in a podcast. At the end some guidelines are given for the conversion of this musical fairy tale to a school music performance.
