Abstract
The aim of this Diploma Thesis is to create and compile the electronic index of the musicological magazine Musikos Hellinomnemon (2008-2015) of the Greek Music Laboratory. This musicological edition has a total of 21-22 issues. The goal of creating this index is to provide information similar to a conventional journal index as it would be available in printed form. It is a guide to finding the information in the document itself and is available in the form of a web page. It is an information management system, with the ability to display and search for the material, by each user. For each issue of the magazine, the indexed material is divided into five different thematic sections: a) Persons, b) carriers, c) musical works, d) newspapers and e) magazines. The information is entered into an Excel file, where in each worksheet the information related to each issue has been entered, while for each topic there is some information related to the topic being indexed. After the indexing process follows the extensive recording of the characteristics of the digital index. The architecture and software involved in the construction and operation of a website are fully explained and then the structure and implementation of the index are analyzed, presenting the individual pages that make up the online platform. The Python programming language and the Django rapid development package were used to create the digital index.
