Abstract
The present approach concerns the rendering of the concepts of intention through their historical review starting from the dissertations of great philosophers of the classical, Hellenistic and modern times, as well as theologians of the Christian era, in order to identify the dominant points of meaning of the above terms. In addition, the above concepts are explored in connection with the modern technological environment with Artificial Intelligence as a core and some questions and concerns are raised about the new technologies that have emerged in the last, in particular, decade regarding the relationships between them and people, taking in view of the necessity of providing legal protection against technological developments that are potentially “dreadful” for man and his fundamental rights and freedoms.
