Abstract
The present work aims to implement quantum algorithms, which have played a key role in the evolution of the field of quantum computing. These algorithms are implemented and executed by the available quantum computers provided by IBM through the Qiskit platform, using technologies such as Jupyter Notebooks and Python. In Chapter 1, an introduction to quantum mechanics is given, outlining the basic properties that govern it, so that we can move on to the next chapters on the most practical issues in the field of quantum computing. In Chapter 2, we take a first look at the basic concepts of quantum computing, such as operators, the tensor product and many more. In Chapter 3, a number of important quantum gates and operators are mentioned. Next, in Chapter 4, we delve into the operation and model of quantum programming on the Qiskit platform, as well as execute the calculation of information derived from a real quantum computer. Chapter 5 describes the concept of quantum teleportation, how it works, its corresponding implementation in Qiskit, as well as other new terminology that helps understanding of the algorithms that will follow in a clear way. In Chapter 6, we conclude with the implementation of fundamental quantum algorithms, such as the Shor’s algorithm and others.
