Abstract
Τhe following thesis explores and analyses key concepts that have emerged from the rapid and ongoing development and evolution of technological tools and systems. Contextually, it presents terms created by the impact of technology on the tourism sector. The main terms analysed are 'smart tourism', 'smart cities', 'smart mobility' and other similar and related concepts.
We can see that the impact of technology in tourism is forcing all stakeholders to change their behaviour and adapt to the demands of the times. Improving the services provided according to the demands and possibilities of the times.
In this context, the Clever Transfer application is designed and implemented. This application is created to be used via mobile devices (mobile phones, tablets). It takes full advantage of the properties of mobile devices, such as their portability and their connection to the internet and uses information from the sensors of the devices, processes and transforms it to generate additional "profit".
Its aim is to provide solutions in the field of tourist transport, providing easy, smart and immediate travel solutions for tourists, while enabling coach owners to make the most of their vehicles' schedules.
