Abstract
In the last years, very important actions are taken for the rescue of cultural heritage, especially for the preview of realty historic monuments with the use of technology. Some of these efforts were the creation of substantiation models for the description of cultural heritage. The main models of metadata and the ontologies that are used in the decode of realty historic heritage are the CIDOC CRM, CDWA, CDWA Lite, MIDAS Heritage, VRA Core and the model ARMOS.
The aim of this assignment is the investigation of ARMOS, which is a high-level data model and tries to contain all the common description needs of the architecture cultural heritage. After the analysis of the after-model, it’s depiction was accomplished at the VRA Core 4.0 formula. The VRA constitutes a pattern of metadata for the description and decode cultural work. Thereafter, for the complete match-up between the two models it was held an investigation for a realty historic monument of Corfu.
