Abstract
This dissertation attempts to research and understand the soundscapes of seven popular gathering places in the city of Xanthi during the month of May. The purpose of the work is to create a sound map that will host the recordings made during the above month. At the same time, an attempt is made to interpret the noise level data of each location, collected using a digital sound level meter.
