Abstract
The Greeks had special and varied ways of burial and gave special weight, respect and attention to the burial rites and their application.
Man's view of burying his dead is complicated and often contradictory, because on the one hand he wants to reassure his feelings but also to keep the reminder that he is still alive, he goes through a process in which he sees the dead in dreams. and believes that he is still alive and has not experienced the loss yet because he is in the stage of denial and hope for a miracle or a mistake and that the loved one is not dead. In the classical period, burials evolved to a point where people through rituals could express pain, wonder, and hope.
It is striking that through the burial rites of that time we see that the art of burial recedes from the myth and element of divinity and awaits the element of expression of pain, how he was dead while he lived, they focused more on burial monuments. and in the funeral burials rather than in the burial of the remains, the late fame of the family and the name of the deceased, as well as of his values and virtues throughout his life. At that time, people knew letters and funeral law was practical.
