Abstract
Suicide differs as an act of an individual, but it is a profound social problem and a demographic analysis issue for extracting information and data that helps us to clarify the target groups that need special care and attention. The theoretical approach of sociologists helps to see the social context in which acts of suicide are carried out and what is it that leaves no space but for the futility of existence. The climate and the place where every person lives clearly affects the quality of his life, but the organization of the society he lives is decisive for the construction of his existence and personality. Because the individual's psychosynthesis is built and structured in the society that lives and in its interaction with others. The psychology of the person plays a decisive role in the decision to implement such an act because, as depression appears to be a scourge of the modern age and leads people to suicide as a sign of melancholy and despair. Mental health is a chapter of medicine which, in turn, helps other sciences to study and to cope with the phenomenon. Clearly, we will accept that suicide is a "problem" and not a merely demographic phenomenon to study. It is a phenomenon of self-assassination and society must intervene to help those people who are led to this point. That is why we need interventions and indeed policies to address the phenomenon at national and European level that lead to the well-being and improvement of the living conditions of all people.
