Abstract
This paper is an internship report carried out in the context of the postgraduate program Science of Translation of the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University, in September and October 2023. It is a tripartite collaboration between the university, the internship body and the student, which aims at the effective integration of the student into the labor market, the coordination of her skills with the expectations of the organization as an employer and entrepreneur, but also the provision of feedback to the university in order to ensure the effectiveness of the educational programs and the planning of the internship.
In the report is displayed the description of the company, its structure and mode of operation, and the course and experience of the student as a translator in the office. Through this report is attempted an evaluation of the employment in a language services company, and an assessment of the translation business's professional reality as experienced from an intern translator, whose bachelor degree was not in Translation.
During the internship, were completed the translations of legal documents, advertising texts, and academic articles about architecture, philosophy and psychology on the Phrase translation tool, from English to Greek and Italian to Greek.
