Abstract
This thesis examines the dialectic relationship between archives and civilisation, more specifically by mentioning the utilisation of regional newspapers. Initially, what is presented is the importance of the newspaper in its traditional printed form to its transformation into digital format. A determining factor is the technological development that is achieved through the mass media that continually grant privileges for the reading of those interested. Moreover, an equally important function for the intended purpose is played by the peripheries among themselves. When there is communication firstly between the countries and secondly between the country's prefectures for the common good of the press, the cultural heritage of the ethnicities is preserved. The newspaper acts as an essential source of information for the social, political and economic progress over the centuries. The fact that no one can longer think of the modern world without the means of communication and information networks is suggestive of their great significance in the configuration of social reality.
