Abstract
“Translations” is a research on the correlation between pitch sequences and non- music elements (ridges, stars, the planets of the solar system, a graphical representation of a medical exam, the alphabet). The music composition “Planets and numbers” is a short summary of an imaginary history of the universe and this fact explains the linearity of its structure. The sound material come from the equation of the music frequencies with the mean radius of each planet, with their rotation period around the sun and also around their axis, with the distance between them and the angles they formed with Earth at specific moments.
