Abstract
In this dissertation, three important time milestones that have contributed to the dissemination and development of art are presented and analyzed. The spread of online technologies, especially after the advent of the world wide web, provided artists with new tools to create, promote and preserve their work and contributed to the emergence of new practices. This thesis refers to the new forms of artistic expression that appeared during the period of web 1.0, when the internet was still a new technology, captures and analyzes changes that occurred in the art world due to the advent of the possibilities of web 2.0 and is completed with the emergence of artistic experiments directly linked to internet technology, which took place during the pandemic of Covid-19.
