Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the overall experience, development,
reflections, as well as conclusions that emerged after a six-month practical training in a
primary school in Crete in music class. The lessons took place in the 1st and 6th grades from
the beginning of November until the end of April, once a week. During the first four weeks
the lessons were attended without my active participation, in which diaries were methodically
recorded. Specifically, information about the class profile, lesson delivery, the music teacher's
approach, and any other information deemed useful for the conduct of this study and
subsequent lessons were recorded. At the end of the four weeks, weekly lesson plans were
designed and implemented in both classes, with the presence, supervision and, whenever
needed, the active participation of the music teacher. In creating the plans, the curriculum and
the teacher's guide to music lessons in primary school were used as a basis for the designs.
After each teaching session, journals were recorded with key information on the planning,
delivery and self-evaluation of the teaching process. After the completion of the teachings
and based on the overall experience, conclusions were drawn and reflections expressed.
