Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present accessibility issues for People with Disabilities (PWD) in public libraries. The study examines the ways, means, and infrastructure that are necessary in every public library so that all of its users are served. Also, this study refers to library-related accessibility rights for people with disabilities. A specific Greek library is used as an example. Additionally, the study makes references to the Public and Central Library of Lamia as well to American Library Association-ALA and International Federation of Library Association and Institutions-IFLA.
Finally, the study concludes with issues that need to be further examined.
