Abstract
In recent years, sound art has become more and more popular in the modern world. Nowadays, in every kind of entertainment, we find soundtracks that give each work a special tone, making it more accessible to the viewer. This paper concerns the composition of two forest soundscapes, which present the acoustic experience of man and insect respectively, and aims to highlight the methodological and compositional differences for the creation of these two works. The differences will be presented through the two different soundtracks of the forest and especially the sounds that compose them. The first piece presents the journey of a person in the forest and how this is heard by him through natural sounds that give the piece the realism of such an environment. At the opposite end, the second work, through the same path of the insect in the forest, highlights the more technical aspect of the composition with more processed sounds, thus seeking a more mysterious atmosphere, but unknown, as until today we do not know the real acoustic capacity of insects. In the end, the conclusions present the challenges and difficulties that arose during the production, as well as the thoughts about the works from the perspective of the creator himself.
