Abstract
My thesis is about poetry and more specifically contemporary poetry by one of the most famous American poets of our time, Billy Collins. After discussing with my professor, Mr. Nikolaou, I chose 10 of my favorite poems of this particular poet from his various poetry collections so that I could present his work more fully. In my thesis, I begin with a preface, I then present the translated poems, then the original poems in English, then an analysis of the poems and a commentary on the translation process. Then follows the epilogue and the bibliography.
