Abstract
For my thesis ,I chose a legal translation from German to Greek. The subject of my thesis was the Second World War and specifically the trial that followed immediately after the war, known as the Nuremberg Trials. It's about excerpts from the Nuremberg Trials. It focuses on both oral testimonies and specific recorded historical events. It mainly concerns the population of the then Soviet Union, whom the German soldiers also captured, brutally tortured and finally killed. I have attempted to translate these historical events as well as the testimonies in an attempt to shed light on the brutality of the events. It also mentions in writing a multitude of legislations, which circumvented every human right, but, unfortunately, were applied to the civilian population.
