Abstract
The "distaff" -a performance art- is a lively picture that puts the concept of entrapment. An entrapment that is created and grows slowly and steadily with the motivating force coming from the trapped person its self. Given through the shaping of the movement of the vicious circle, a movement that seems to create static equilibrium, yet evolving only to constand and endless entrapment.
Performance, an artistic genre, wide and versatile with great freedom of expression, seems to change, but it remains alive and vibrant in the art field. Caged, a state of limitation and at the same time multi-dimensional, its different manifestations are highlighted, through art.
